I can't help but be curious as to where you draw the line in the encouragement of "young" practitioners.....

Kait,

This is the kind of thing that I would leave to your discretion. Obviously I would consider the merits of any critical writing I receive. The emphasis on young practitioners is meant to encourage people who are not necessarily established to contribute their ideas. I think that everyone's point of view is valid and young practitioners in the field of metalsmithing are significantly underrepresented, especially in critical writing. If conceptualmetalsmithing.com can help to establish more young voices then I have achieved my goal.

That being said, please submit something if you are interested.

As a general rule though, if you have to ask, you are probably too old. lol. Young is a state of mind.

Well, some of us were born old though...;)

I guess I can't help but question the assumption that there is a correlation between age and representation and being established. It's as if you assume that with age comes recognition and representation. There might be some old curmudgeons that just refuse to quit.
